My goal for writing is -  Level 4 deliberately choose a clear, controlled and logical text structure to suit the audience and purpose. My create task was we had to choose one of the hubs and make a planning template for them and I chose yr 1/2's (Kakano).

Hi everyone welcome back to my blog today I am going to be talking about maths. In maths we we were talking about the three secrets in maths.
1. Mentally Fit
2. Strategies
3. Know what you know
Here is my goal - Level 4 Equal Adjustment/Addition : Use a broad range of strategies to solve addition and subtraction problems with whole numbers & decimals. For my create task I had to get two maths equations and make in to a maths problem.

Communication, Future

Hi everyone welcome back to my blog, today I am going to be talking about communication. This week I have been doing the 3 c's and in my other blogs I did collaboration and creativity and now I'm doing communication. We have to communicate in our groups for PBL because we need to practice communicating with everyone.

Why is communication important for our future?
I think it is important because we need to be able to talk to people socially so they understand what we are saying and what they need to be doing. We need to be communicating in sports, work, school and activity's that involve many people. We need to communicate within our daily lives because it makes relationships and friendships.

What are the different ways we can communicate messages?
We can communicate them by cellphones, socially, another person and more. I think socially is the best option because it is coming from your perspective and not anyone else's. We need to be more social because in our days everyone is on electronics when they need to be going outside.

Do we communicate in different ways compared to 10 years ago?
There is a lot more social media these days so most people use cellphones now days. Back then there wasn't that much social media so people communicated through letters and talking. There isn't much of a difference because people talk, but they just use a bit more social media to connect with each other.

Creativity n.o 1

Hi everyone welcome back to my blog today I am going to be talking about creativity. For our PBL we had to be creative and get ideas for our fair games. For creativity we had to be creative for my fair game and how we were going to plan the game out.
What kind of thinker am I?
I am a creative thinker, I had to think about what materials we needed for this project, and how we were going to plan our project, and what colours to use and what wood to use.
What creative thinking skills do I have and which could I work on and why?
My thinking skills is when I have so many ideas that I can choose from but I narrow it down to one and then collaborate on that idea. I need to work on listening to everyone's creative ideas and maybe making all their ideas in to one so we can make it really creative.

Tell me ways that you have been creative?

Collaboration

Hi everyone welcome back to my blog today I am going to be talking about collaboration. For my PBL we had to talk and collaborate. Because the teachers put us in PBL groups with new people so we all had to work on collaboration and working with each other. I have collaborated in my group by helping with ideas for the fair, and ideas of what paint colours we could use. Overall I think my group does really well collaborating, my whole group finished our game and we did so well working together.

Maths - follow up

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog today I am going to be talking about my maths. For this weeks maths I had to relate three-dimensional models to two-dimensional representations. I had to show this by showing the faces of each side on the 3D shape. I had to a slide and here is my slide Maths slides and for my create task I had to use the app isometric drawing tool Isometric drawing tool and we had to make a 3D object that either maybe used for PBL or something you might find in the hub. I made something that you might find in the hub and It was a book shelf where we put our books and games. Here it is..

Writing - How to wash your hands

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog today I am going to be talking about my writing task for this week. This week we had to "Use a variety of sentences structures, beginnings and lengths to give effect." We had to write instructions of how to wash your hands and because of the virus's going around and we need to get rid of bacteria so here is how to clean your hands.

How to wash your hands:

What you need:

Hand towel

Soap

Warm water

Step 1: Turn the tap on.

Step 2: Squirt the soap on the palm of your hand.

Step 3: Then put warm water on you hand.

Step 4: Rub the soap on each side of your hands for 20 seconds.

Step 5: Rub the soap on the palms of your hands for 10 seconds.

Step 6: Get the soap between your fingers 10 seconds.

Step 7: Then put more warm water on to your hands and get the soap off.

Step 8: Once the soap is all off your hand and cleaned off.

Step 9: Turn the tap off.

Step 10: Get a clean towel or paper towel and dry your hands.

Step 11: Now your done and your hands are healthy and clean.

Waitangi Day task

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog today I am going to be talking about my waitangi day task. Our focus for this week was to make a D.L.O ( digital learning project ) about the importance of waitangi day and we also had to do these slides and read stories about waitangi day. I learnt a lot of things about waitangi day and this was a really fun task to do. For my D.L.O I made it on google drawings  and I wrote what is important about waitangi day and why we have it. Also I did flags of the some of the cultures that were there signing it, and then I did people signing the treaty. Here is my drawing....

2020 Intro for this year

Hi guys, welcome back to my first blog of 2020. My hopes are for this year is to get all my work done, make new friends, show leadership around the school and lots more. For this year I'm looking forward to being a year 8 student and leaving the school with kindness and respect. This year I want to be able to get through the year with the sport opportunities, the leadership team and I want to be able to do service around the school. Last holidays I went to Rotorua to go on a holiday and spend time with family in Rotorua there are so many things to do. There was kayaking, going to the beach, going on boats, going on the biscuit and much more I was there for a week and it was so fun. Near the end of the holidays I also went to nelson to see my other side of the family we stayed in a motel and it was loads of fun up there. We were there for 4 days and I went to the beach and the pool most of the time. I'm very excited for 2020 and what the future will bring.
